Hi, I’m Liz and I am a mom of 3 rambunctious red heads, living my life in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
I created this blog for other busy badass moms who just want to make being a super mom easier. Former working mom of 3 kids, I am now a stay at home mom. I know what it’s like to be busy, constantly running around, and never feeling like you are getting anything accomplished. I will share my tips for motherhood, amazing recipes to feed even the pickiest of kids, and how to manage finances and live an amazing life on a budget.
First, a little about me…
My husband I both knew that we wanted to raise our family in a different type of world. One where you step into it, and time slows down, everyone is your neighbor, no one locks their doors and the beauty takes your breath away. That is how we landed in Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I instantly fell in love with this different world. And even though Yoopers refer to me as a “troll”, someone who hails from below the Mackinac Bridge in Lower Michigan, in my heart I will always consider myself a true Yooper, this is where I was meant to be.
Since moving to the U.P., my life has turned into beautiful chaos. My home is filled with 3 beautiful little red heads, who have the firey personality to match their hair, my husband, a former US Marine Sargent, turned beer brewer. I am out numbered by gingers (even our dog has red hair!) I love to live life by the seat of my pants. I am the definition of a Type B personality. I love meditation, manifesting and craft beer! Despite being a Virgo, I am an awful planner and an awful cleaner. I am the type to send birthday cards out 2 months after your birthday, and to respond to your text message 3 days later. I love to get creative in the kitchen and creative in my budget.
I can’t wait for you to follow me on this journey! I can’t promise it will always be pretty–I mean is life with kids ever pretty? But it will always be interesting and we will have so much fun along the way! So hold on to your beer…this is my life, with my gingers, surviving in God’s Country.
